The Oxford Health Cares Appeal has achieved so much in the last four months - and we have a lot of people to say thank you to.

Since it was set up on 23 March as a reaction to the impact of the pandemic and lockdown on our NHS staff, your support has enabled the appeal to:

  • Send out approximately 2000 care packs to teams across Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust (covering Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Bath and North East Somerset)
  • Organise afternoon tea and other food deliveries to teams (picked at random from our care pack locations list)
  • Send out personal care items to wellbeing hubs
  • Send out health and wellbeing resources to teams reminding them of key information, support available and ideas for team wellbeing
  • Send out Easter Eggs to teams working hard over the lockdown bank holiday weekend
  • Organise prize draws for staff with prizes ranging from Clarins Sleep Beauty packs and food hampers to overnight stays in hotels, including Le Manoir Aux'Quat Saison

In addition, a project with MiNO to send 500+ books to staff hubs across the Trust will coincide with a couple of other art for wellbeing projects through Artscape and Creating with Care and we hope to send these out mid August.

We will take some time out over the next month or so to evaluate the impact of the appeal and what needs future care packs should address.  This is a really important part of our duty as a charity as the appeal started and evolved so quickly as the lockdown progressed.

The Oxford Health Cares Appeal would have been a mere shadow of what it has been without your support.

You have donated funds, items, time and love to the appeal and our staff could not be more grateful.

Thank you to each and everyone of you!
