The Oxford Health Cares appeal was very grateful to receive a set of parcels from the community of Long Wittenham, Oxfordshire this week as part of their VE Day commemorations - these parcels were jam-packed with personal care items donated by the local villagers, the Big Little Shop, Waitrose and others which will be distributed to staff across the Trust.  In addition to the parcels received at our Hub office, the village team also distributed personal packs to staff at Abingdon and Wallingford Community Hospitals, South Central Ambulance bases and to other care workers local to them.  Each parcel held this message - a beautiful sentiment attached to some amazing gifts:

The appeal has also been the lucky recipient of donations from Clarins, Work Perks and Rhythm 108 this week, we are so grateful for the support we receive every day.

In addition to the donations to care packs, teams at the Warneford and Littlemore sites received cupcakes from Carpenters Catering and teams at Luther Street Medical Practice, central Oxford, Community Services hub in Blackbird Leys, Evenlode ward at Littlemore and the Healthy Minds team in Aylesbury all received scones from A Bit of a Do.  These bursts of sweetness really bring a smile to the teams and we are so happy to be able to facilitate these deliveries.

Looking forward to next week, we are getting prepped for another set of 200+ boxes to head out with our volunteer drivers and have already heard from Costa Coffee that we may be getting a donation of coffee products to get us all buzzing!

Thank you so much to everyone who has donated this week or sent in any items for our care packs - your support really does make all this possible and makes a real difference to our hard working teams across Oxford Health.
