We are a staff group who are dedicated to improving care for the young people at the Highfield unit. The garden area is a big space that has lots of potential for the young people to enjoy. Currently its underused and needs some attention!
We hope that it could be a place that the young people can use for exercise all year round. As we know, the benefits of movement, exercise and fresh air helps to improve overall health and well-being. Exercise itself produces endorphins, a feel-good hormone that boosts your mood and reduces pain.
We have decided to take part in the world’s biggest inflatable 5k obstacle run. This is going to be a fantastic excuse for team building and laughter, and with your help we hope to raise as much as possible to get the garden into shape for the young people.
