After a short break in sending out packs of goodies, the small team of staff and volunteers behind Oxford Health Cares gathered (in a socially distanced way) in November to send out the first of the Winter Care Packs.

The packs contained a variety of sweet and savoury snacks as well as hot drink sachets (individually packaged to help reduce infection risk), hand creams and bottles of water to keep all those wearing PPE hydrated on their long shifts.  We even managed to send some of the last remaining books from MiNO Project out to teams who hadn't received them yet.

Thanks go to our support team at Restore as well as the kind donations received from Asda (Wheatley), MiNO Project and Work Perks.

A record number of teams responded to our offer and volunteer drivers were on hand to deliver over 250 packs across Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Swindon and Wiltshire.  It was great to hear back from teams about how the packs brought some joy to the second lockdown period and it really inspired us to get thinking about how the Christmas packs could come together.
