2017/18 Successful Appeals

GreyBeard for Cotswold House

Paul Skott undertook a personal challenge over the festive period in 2017 - growing his beard, dyeing it a multitude of colours and covering it in glitter - all for the Cotswold House, Oxford community.  His amazing fundraising effort of over £700 has given those on the eating disorders ward a chance to purchase activities, crafts and entertainment to help them rest and recuperate.  This has included board games, DVDs, painting and crafting materials.  Those on the ward were Paul's inspiration as well as the beneficiaries.

Pedometer Challenge 2018

For the first time, the staff of Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust used their annual pedometer challenge to raise money for the charity.  Staff groups used the month of May to get out and about, walking as many steps as they could to both improve their own wellbeing as well as make a difference to the wellbeing of those receiving care from their services.  Groups could either donate a small amount each to take part in the challenge or gain sponsorship from family and friends to achieve a goal.  The Footloose and Fancy Free team shown above, raised over £140 by walking enough steps to get them to Paris (and halfway home) from their base at the Warneford Hospital.  In total, teams raised over £400 with funds mostly going to the 'Where the Need is Greatest Fund' but a good proportion supporting the purchase of an activity table at Sapphire Ward in Aylesbury.
