This fund supports the enhancement of patient, carer and staff experiences within Buckinghamshire Mental Health services.

The range of services across Buckinghamshire is extensive and includes Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), Early Intervention Services, Complex Needs, Autism Diagnostics, the ADHD team, Perinatal Mental Health, NHS Buckinghamshire Talking Therapies, Safe Haven, Street Triage, an Eating Disorder Service and Ambulance Mental Health triage. These services are in addition to the four inpatient wards at the Whiteleaf Centre in Aylesbury.

How charity funds help in Bucks:

As an example, in November 2021, the Trust opened Saffron House - a new South Buckinghamshire Mental Health Hub based in Easton Street in High Wycombe. The aim of this facility was to bring together many of the services noted above onto one site, which were previously based separately across the south of the county. Charity funding helped support several aspects of this project build, including: developing waiting areas and green spaces, as well as providing artwork and decor to make the new site more welcoming and comfortable for patients, visitors and staff members.

The following Bucks services are now based at Saffron House:

Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS)

Adult Community Mental Health Team

NHS Buckinghamshire Talking Therapies

Adult Early Intervention Service

Perinatal Mental Health

The Crisis Team

Older Adult Mental Health Services (e.g. memory clinics)
