Support us Volunteering How to volunteer Volunteering with Oxford Health is a great opportunity to give time to your local NHS Trust, get involved in enhancing the experience of patients, staff, families and carers within the Trust and gain personal development and skills. It is a chance to make a difference through the donation of time rather than money and see first hand the positive impact that you can make for our services. All volunteers are managed through Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust. That includes governance, insurance and support. To find out about our current open roles and apply, visit Volunteer Opportunities We are looking for volunteers who are: Interested in supporting staff and patients in a healthcare setting Caring and approachable Eager to make a difference Able to abide by policies and procedures in place to keep you and others safe Able to commit the volunteering role and requirements Over the age of 16 (18 for some roles). There is no upper age limit. You may want to use life skills you already have, or develop new skills through volunteering – we support both. The one commitment that we do ask volunteers to make is that they follow our values and bring them to life through their behaviour. Corporate volunteers The Charity welcomes interest from organisations that may wish to help the Trust. Groups of employees and/or clients could offer help with tidying the Trust's green spaces and meadows. For more information contact the Charity at: [email protected] Applying to be a volunteer Check out the current roles available on our opportunities page and complete our online application form (Opportunities) Once the form has been received, you will be invited to meet the team you would like to volunteer with to discuss the role in more detail. Checks such as DBS, References and Occupational Health will be carried out following this and in line with the role you have applied for. All new starters are required to complete some mandatory training prior to starting their role. This training follows a national volunteer training programme and ensures Volunteers are equipped with the knowledge and understanding to safely volunteer in Health & Social care settings. Once all the checks have been completed, you will be notified and invited to an online training induction to start your volunteering journey.
