Smaller projects make a big impact! Take a look at these smaller projects we've recently supported that have had a big impact on Oxford Health NHS patients, carers and staff. Colourful welcome for all at Wallingford Community Hospital We funded these colourful rainbow vinyls for the front doors and reception area. "It is really brightening everyone's day that attends Wallingford, we have had so many compliments on the impact of the rainbows, they are very well loved so much already!" Dementia-friendly clocks added to wards and patient rooms We purchased 28 large wall-mounted clocks for City Hospital, Oxford and Bicester Community Hospital. "The patients love the large clocks - they can now see what the day and date is. This is a great help for most of the patients who have eyesight issues and/or dementia.""We do not have the funds on a ward level to fund these ourselves. Oxford Health Charity are great for this sort of thing, especially as it is for the patients and creating the best experience for them is what we are all here for." Oxfordshire CAMHS Neurodevelopment Conditions (NDC) Service receive Charity Tree-tment The NDC service acquired some renovated clinical space to meet their young patients with autism/ADHD and their families. Feedbackfrom young people and families said the clinical spaces are sparse and boring, sometimes scary, and feel like a hospital. To make the area more appropriate, interesting and appealing to young people, we supported the purchase of these large tree decorations. All in keeping with the unit as the rooms are all tree names, and is now called the Forest Unit. "Staff and families are really happy with the new space, and feel the decor now makes it more welcoming and a warmer environment."
