Clifton Santas' Festive Cheer for the ROSY Appeal The Clifton Santas have once again brought festive joy to their community, all while supporting an important cause. This year, the Respite for Oxfordshire’s Sick Youngsters Appeal (ROSY), for Oxford Health Charity. Our ROSY Appeal funds a service which provides vital additional respite care for terminally ill, acutely, and chronically sick children across Oxfordshire, helping families receive the support they need in their own homes. Through the generosity and enthusiasm of the Clifton community, this year’s initiative raised an impressive £426, including gift aid. Oxford Health Charity would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who donated, participated, and contributed to this wonderful event. Alice Collins on behalf of the Clifton Ladies Group, said “ We want to thank everyone who made a Santa, helped put up posters, and added QR codes around the village to encourage donations. A huge thank you to everyone who donated—we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together.""The Clifton Santas started about seven or eight years ago at a gathering of the Clifton Ladies group. We were at the pub when Maureen Colley, inspired by some local scarecrows, said, ‘Why don’t we make Santas and have a bit of fun?’ And so it began!" The Clifton Ladies group were keen to support a children’s charity and, after a poll in their WhatsApp group, Oxford Health Charity's ROSY Appeal was selected. The Santas have now become a tradition in Clifton, bringing the community together for festive fun to support those in need. Thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s effort such a success.
