Oxford Health Charity has been overwhelmed by the generosity of local craft groups across Oxfordshire who have made over 1,500 laundry bags, which the Creating with Care programme has been distributing to wards across the trust as part of the Charity's Oxford Health Care's Campaign.

The bags have been made by volunteers from the UK Crafters Oxfordshire and Central branch as well as individual volunteers including some staff members. The crafters are also making headbands with buttons on, which facemasks can be attached to, offering relief for sore ears.

Angela Conlan, Creating with Care lead has been working with the craft groups and liaising with the Oxford Health Cares team to ensure that each ward/staff member who needs bags or headbands gets them, she said that 'The response has been phenomenal, staff have been delighted with the bags and headbands which have been arriving with lovely thank-you notes from all corners of Oxfordshire and the craft volunteers working on the project have mentioned that it has given them a purpose in life again.'

If you would like bags or headbands for your Oxford Health team please contact [email protected] and state how many you would like.
