Whether you’re a seasoned runner or new to the sport this year, Blenheim 7k 2024 is a family-friendly fundraising event that is accessible to all – adults, children and dogs alike!

Set within the stunning grounds of one of England’s largest country houses, the Blenheim 7k will take place on 19th May 2024 and Oxford Health Charity are delighted, once again, to be a charity partner for the event.

We are aiming to have an even larger running team than last year, so if you, your family members, friends, colleagues (and dogs!) are interested in entering this fun run, please join our team and raise money for Oxford Health Charity as you enjoy the sights of this amazing Oxfordshire World Heritage Site. There’s no fundraising minimum but every penny raised will be put towards supporting and enhancing the experiences of patients, carers, families and staff within the Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust.

Each team member will also receive one of our stylish Oxford Health Charity blue T-Shirts – and even your dog can run in style!

The Blenheim 7k 2024 will offer four different races on the day:

7k

The main 7k race follows a beautifully scenic route around the grounds of Blenheim, following a range of undulating paths and trails and also includes a stunning ‘off-road’ section alongside the lake. The course (which is actually 7.4k) offers runners a challenge in a spectacular location – those new to the sport may choose to jog or walk some or all of the route and take more time to view  these wonderful grounds!

7k + dogs

Another great aspect of this family-friendly fundraising event is the separate 7k race specially designed for runners who wish to run with their dogs! This race follows the same route as the main 7k. If you wish to enter for this race, please ensure you take all necessary equipment (e.g. lead and harness) as all dogs must stay on the lead while on site at Blenheim – whether running or spectating. For those who are taking part in the race, please refer to the RSPCA Guidelines.

4 mile wheel-friendly route for wheelchairs and buggies

This race follows much of the same route as the main 7k but it misses out the off-road section alongside the lake as this area is unsuitable for wheelchairs and buggies. Race organisers advise that the route is still designed as a challenge, so wheelchair users may wish to bring extra support to assist them in navigating the course.

1 mile course for children

To ensure that this family fun-run is accessible to all, there is also a shorter 1.6k course within the grounds designed for children under 15 years old. This race will start and finish before the other 3 events, enabling friends and family members who are competing in one of the day’s other events to watch and support their children for the duration of their race.

A map of the race routes can be downloaded here

Runners and spectators are welcome to stay in the grounds after the event, to enjoy a picnic as well as Blenheim’s facilities.
